Book Look Contest Winners
To celebrate National Library Week, we invited artists to create tee shirt designs inspired by this years theme "book joy". We awarded $7,500 in prizes, and each winner donated half of their prize money to the public library that helped inspire them. Public libraries do more than lend books, they open doors. They give people free access to knowledge, imagination, and opportunity while creating spaces where communities can gather and grow. These shirts are a celebration of the books, creativity, and libraries that enrich our lives.

Peter Shire is a favorite artist of ours at the Syndicate X Library. His work eludes all attempts at categorization. He has created ceramics, furniture, toys, interior designs, and public sculptures, that seem to at once reference and parody influences such as Bauhaus, Futurism, Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
